What I Learned From 100 Match Dates

Ok. Well maybe 100 is a bit of an exaggeration. It felt like a hundred. It was certainly over fifty. Any way the upshot is now I am happily ensconced in a love bubble and need to report on my learning experience. Which was fantastic by the way.

I met all sorts of interesting people. I am a sixty something woman living in Sarasota Florida so the demographics are definitely in my favor. There are more single men in this town in my age bracket than anyone woman can possibly sort through. There is one caveat however: Although the odds are good, at times the goods are a bit odd. Not always. But occasionally there has been the random weirdo. Not a full blown psychopath mind you, but definitely on the weird side.

But that wasn’t the big thing that I learned. The BIG THING that I learned is to that I was perfect. Not perfect to everyone else’s standards mind you, but perfect nonetheless. And my assumptions about my supposed imperfections turned out to be all wrong.

The very things I felt ashamed of in my past, or felt inadequate about, turned out to be the very things that made men comfortable, or made me more desirable. Go figure.

For example:

I always felt ashamed I never finished college. Well guess what? There are a lot of great guys out there that didn’t either. And, they are very very successful.
