Tragic Opera News

“You fucking idiots! What do you mean he recorded his torture with his Apple watch? Are you kidding me? How can you be this inept?” MBS paced the room, red checks whirling as he exploded in fury. His thug like ministers, faces as grey as their suits simply stared straight ahead.

“We did not know it was synced your highness.”

Halfway across the continent the Supreme Leader gleefully swooped into the room. of his Assembly of Experts, “They fell for it. They killed Khashoggi. That idiot Prince had him dismembered in the Embassy. Taken out in suitcases. The delicate Americans will throw a fit. Disassociate. Now the Caliphate will emerge into power. They will realize we are their true allies.”

“But my most wise Supreme Leader, the people are rioting again today. Bread is ten times the cost of yesterday. We are on the brink of revolution. This is good news, granted. But can it come in time to quell the hungry rabble that assaulted me in my car this morning?”

“Oh you fool, just arrest them. All of them. It will be soon enough, Inshallah.” Khamenei waved them away as if they were gnats swarming his head. “Simply arrest them.”

Khashoggi’s finance sobbed as she replayed the recordings on Jamal’s phone for the Turkish authorities. “My love they are torturing you. Cutting off your beautiful fingers. No more can they run through my hair, write love poems for me at midnight, “ Hatice collapsed in a pile of unfettered grief.

Trump summoned Pompeo. “This looks bad. Our biggest arms customer cleaning up his press problems with a bone saw. Great work if you can get it, but still, the Apple Watch business is a little tacky.”

And so it goes…Khashoggi died defending free speech and we have a president focused on collecting blood money for arms sales.

Disgusting and more tragic than Otello.

God save us all.
